Hey there, welcome to TF summer edition!
We are super excited to host upcoming TF meetup with two great data scientists Barbara and Oliver who will show how they've created neural networks for their AI projects.
⢠6:00 - 6:10 Register, grab a drink
⢠6:15 - 6:50 1st workshop: Networks are like onions: Practical Deep Learning with TensorFlow by Barbara Fusinska
⢠6:50 - 7:20 Break time: drinks, food, natural language processing
⢠7:20 - 7:55 2nd talk: Predicting congestion on London's roads with TensorFlow by Oliver Gindele
⢠8:00 closing meetup, let's go for a drink around the corner (TBC)
Networks are like onions: Practical Deep Learning with TensorFlow
Deep learning is the area that wins over the field of Artificial Intelligence. By using libraries like TensorFlow, it is now available to the wider audience. In this tutorial, Barbara will walk the audience through the process of creating several types of neural networks. The session will start with explaining key concepts of deep learning and introducing datasets the computation will be performed on. Along the way, attendees will have the practical opportunity to use TensorFlow to build deep networks, train them and evaluate the results. After the session, participants will become familiar with how to use TensorFlow when shaping the architecture of neural networks. By the hands-on form of the tutorial, the audience will have the chance to gain some firsthand experience of how to apply deep learning to computer vision and natural language processing tasks.
Barbara Fusinska - Data Solution Architect, Microsoft
Barbara is a Data Solution Architect with strong software development background. While working with a variety of different companies, she gained experience in building diverse software systems. This experience brought her focus to the Data Science and Big Data field. She believes in the importance of the data and metrics when growing a successful business.Alongside collaborating around data architectures, Barbara still enjoys programming activities. Currently speaking at conferences in-between working in London. Tweets at @BasiaFusinska and blogs on http://barbarafusinska.com.
Predicting congestion on London's roads with TensorFlow
Predicting congestion is an important part of any traffic management system. With accurate forecasting traffic can be effectively regulated, ensuring safe and fast journeys on the roads. Based on data from Transport for London (TfL) we trained a neural network in TensorFlow that predicts congestion in south-west London. With this use case as example we will demonstrate how TensorFlow can be used to build predictive models for time series data.
Oliver is a Data Scientist at Datatonic with a background in computational physics and high performance computing. He is a machine learning practitioner who recently started exploring the world of deep learning.
This meetup is supported by YLD:
