DBU Tech Talks is an exciting new speaker series focused on the rapidly growing field of information technology. Located at the DBU North campus, engaging experts will be bringing their insights from their vast experience in the information technology field.
This month DBU - North will host a panel of experts to discuss the Internet of Things (IoT). Come join us with for this lively discussion and bring your own questions for this interactive session.
The panel will be comprised of:
Richard Finn (moderator).
Richard is the Lead Product Marketing Manager , Internet of Things (IoT) at AT&T. He works on the Digital Strategy & Developer Ecosystem team at AT&T where he focuses on Industrial Internet of Things for AT&T - working with some of their major partners to establish IoT products and services powered by AT&T.
Pete DeNagy (panelist):
Pete is the Managing Principal / President at Acommence Advisors, Inc. He is a globally recognized thought leader in the Enterprise Mobility and the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. A results-oriented, accomplished executive with an outstanding record of proven success in creating, enabling, building and restructuring organizations to optimize results in operational performance, revenue growth and profitability.
Swathy Ramaswamy (panelist):
Swathy is Senior Manager, Product Sustainability - Internet of Things at AT&T. She is the Program Lead for Supply Chain Sustainability leading programs and initiatives including:
- Labor Practices and Human rights including Corporate Social Responsibility Audits
- Supplier Sustainability Assessments
- Sustainable packaging and products
- Conflict Minerals and California Proposition 65 compliance
- GHG/Carbon reporting
- Process efficiency/Lean
Ed Hightower (panelist):
Ed is an IoT and Low Power WAN Technologist and Consultant/Bus. Dev. Mgr. He is a successful technologist, public speaker and business development manager with over 25 years’ experience and expertise in the wireless, wireless data, machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) domains. He is a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and knowledgeable of various LPWAN technologies.
Sharon Gorikapudi (DBU host):
Sharon is Director - Master of Science in Information Technology & Management at Dallas Baptist University. He recently created the monthly DBU Tech Talk series. He also helped launch the Master of Science in Information Technology & Management (MSITM) program
Worked with other colleges and schools to facilitate the development and management of the MSITM program, which included new concentrations and courses , instructors, course rotations, and class scheduling.
