Data Driven Delivery in Government - Where next? - 18:45 - 8:00

Government departments are beginning to understand the huge potential of data analytics within project delivery. From releasing capacity to enable people to perform higher value added roles through to predicting variance. But what does this mean for the government and its supply chain?

Within this panel session, we will invite members of the cross-government group for project data analytics to discuss their vision for data driven project delivery, some of the obstacles and how they envisage it evolving. We'll also try and dig a little deeper to differentiate hype from reality.

We'll also explore what this means for project professionals within government and also for everyone engaged in project delivery roles across the supply chain.

You'll get an opportunity to ask questions and explore how to position yourself for what will be an inevitable future.

Panel members include:

Alan Perkins - Head of the Complex Infrastructure Programme National Highways
Jo Jolly - Deputy Director in the Environment Agency
Graham Cantillon - Head of PMO for Nuclear Decommissioning Authority
Catherine Poyner - Head of the Defence Project Delivery Function for UK Ministry of Defence
Eleanor Williams - Lead for Learning from Experience and Communications in the UK Ministry of Defence

Update: Andy Murray, Exec Director form the Major Projects Association has kindly agreed to join Martin Paver on the panel to help shape the conversation

Jo is working hard to drive out waste in delivery and massively improve productivity hopes that by using the power of data analytics, we can.

Welcome to the Project Data and Analytics meetup. We created this meet up to share best practise on leveraging data within a project, programme and portfolio environment. We all know that data has the potential to transform how projects, programmes and portfolios are delivered, but practical implementation constraints often prevent the full value from being realised. This meetup will explore some of the challenges at the intersection of data analysis and project, programme and portfolio management and disc
