We eat with our eyes, we live through our social media accounts and we make decisions according to habits, trends and statistics. Yet we remain sensual. We want to believe that are choices are made due to an inner feeling or at least some logical behaviour. But what does really affect our choices? What can be learnt from our online and offline behaviours and how is all of this related to food?
For our next Connected Supper, hosted and curated by Gili Yuval, we will dig into experiences, on a foodie theme. As digital users, as diners and as social human beings we are going to understand the meaning of online and offline experiences. The menu will be inspired by middle eastern dishes and no cutlery will be supplied. If want an experience, start eating with you hands!
Guest speakers Jason Hartley and Noam Yasour, will be joining us to share their perspectives on the topic of experiences.
Jason has over 20 years of experience in every aspect of the branding and advertising industries. He pursued his passion for food in 2009, creating Amsterdam’s first pop-up restaurant. 4 years later he was the chef/owner of his first award-winning restaurant & cocktail bar. In 2015 he founded Cultisan, a digital platform dedicated to discovering and sharing the products and stories from the worlds finest micro producers of food and drink.
Following on the food theme, Noam is Co-Founder of Silver Bell, a startup partnering with top chefs to source, prepare, and deliver all the ingredients needed to create their recipes (Mise en place). Prior to Silver Bell Noam worked with mobile companies including EverythingMe, Outfit7 and InMobi.
Our venue is the cosy banqueting room at Candid Arts, hidden away on Torrens Street next to Electrowerkz. The menu can be found below.
