About course

Looking for orchestration of your containerized application? Do you need any guidelines to transform your organization towards cloud native patterns?

This course offers an introduction to Kubernetes and includes technical instructions on how to deploy a stand-alone and multi-tier application. We will discuss basic concepts of Kubernetes and talk about the architecture of the system and the problem it solves. We will cover the model it uses to handle deployment and scaling of the application.

Upon completion, attendee will have a solid understanding of the origin, architecture and building blocks of Kubernetes, and will be able to begin the cloud native journey.


What you'll learn

• Architecture and primary components of Kubernetes (ex. networking overlay, kube* services, Controllers).

• Building blocks for running and sharing your applications (ex. Pods, Labels, Selectors, ConfigMap, Secrets, Services, Ingress).

• How to setup and access simple Kubernetes cluster.

• How to easily deploy stateful and stateless applications on a running cluster and scale them horizontally.
