Community Action: Taking the Power Back

This is an an open event that GlobalNet21 is supporting and run  by Community Sector Coalition, and hosted by London Metropolitan University for people active in their community; we will explore this by hearing from speakers, participating in workshops, networking and dialogue
Purpose:
To explore how we can build stronger communities.We aim to celebrate alternative models and visions of community action, without privileging any single approach
One of the themes that will be examined will be communities and the digital age and this is a a theme that GlobalNet21 will be exploring with London Met and Community Sector Coalition.

1210 Q & A with speakers
1300 Lunch
1330 Workshops including: coalition building; citizens inquiry; digital networking; community-led leadership; building diversity across communities and working with universities
1430 Open Space: building stronger communities (issues; solutions and actions)
1545 Plenary
1630 Close followed by networking and local arts performance
