Communitech Breakfast Series: Breakfast of Champions

Feb 10, 2020 · Kitchener, Canada

The Anticipant Organization: New Rules for Leading in Digital Society from the Boardroom to the Battlefield

We live in the age of the nanocrisis—a predicament or calamity whose origins lie in the dependence of an organization on a digital system, and whose speed and scale preclude immediate mitigation by humans. These include system failures, cyber-attacks, denial of service assaults and the vast variety of infiltrations, frauds, and extortions that make digital life perilous. The only organizations that can survive a nanocrisis are anticipant organizations, those entities that can identify likely events, conceive appropriate responses and rehearse them in advance of any occurrence. In this session, Tom Jenkins and David Fraser set out the six critical steps that all organizations must make to arm themselves against potentially fatal attack.

Getting to the Tannery
The parking lot at 151 Charles Street West, Kitchener, is limited and is a shared visitors lot for all tenants in the Tannery building. It is for short term use only, up to two hours. For alternative parking lot info, check out this map to find out how to get downtown and where to park. Or, skip the need to park altogether. Use the GRT EasyGo trip planner to find your best route on the ION light rail or bus services, which conveniently make regular, nearby stops.

We have an awesome community. And we like to show it off.
