The unique coderetreat format (which eliminates the pressure of 'getting things done' and focuses on practicing basic principles of good design) has proven to be a highly effective (and fun) mean of skill improvement.
Among others you will have a chance to practice: Test-Driven Development, pair programming, writing clean code, see how problems can be solved in a different language.
The Coderetreat is free, we only charge a deposit (ticket price) which will be fully refunded when you show up. Breakfast, lunch and drinks are provided by our benevolent sponsors. Bring your own laptop. It should be ready for development, with everything you need installed (IDE, unit testing framework). Consider bringing an external keyboard.
Our event will be facilitated by Martin Klose. He is a passionate software craftsman and the co-founder of klosebrothers.de - an IT consultancy. Martin loves to facilitate all kinds of Coderetreats.
