Code Naturally is excited to join forces with Tikal on a unique meetup that will be focusing on leveraging data to create smart experiences.

Tikal is a leading community of developers and software experts, experienced in knacking a developer’s mindset and tailoring solutions to their needs.
We at Natural Intelligence are excited to present you with this awesome meetup that will take your understanding of data and recommendation systems to the next level while presenting you with two of the leading experts in the field.

In this meetup, Omri - NI’s data architect, will be talking about the concept of “Searchcommendations” and how you, as a developer can easily use Elasticsearch to create personalized experiences.

Chaim - one of Tikal’s top experts and a professional Big Data Architect will be talking about how to use airflow to create production-grade data pipelines.

- 18:30-19:10 - Recommendations at Scale With Elastic Search, Omri Fima
Elastic Search is, you know, for search… but in recent years it is no longer only for search. We use Elastic Search to power our main recommendation and discovery experiences, to allow our shoppers to discover interesting and exciting new products. In this talk, Omri will show how we use the power of Elastic Search to create a personalized experience at scale.

19:20-20:00 - Workflow Data Pipeline Orchestration with Airflow, Chaim Turkel
Through the use case of Behalf BI business world of data, we will go over the data flow pipelines (for example datalake, dataflow) including the challenges we had to face. We will bring in the best practices and knowledge from the mature backend world of microservices to the python orchestration world of airflow including hierarchy configuration, module deployment, and multiple environments.
* This session will start with a short overview of airflow and its advantages in the orchestration world.

About the speakers:

Omri Fima is a Data Hacker, Maker, and LEGO master builder. Oh, he's also an international speaker.

If you want to level up your knowledge, understandings, and skills around everything recommendation engines, and Machine Learning in general, Omri is your go-to guy.
As a Data Architect at Natural intelligence, Omri is obsessed with building magical user experiences using data and AI.
Omri is an IAF Ofek Alumni, and his experience includes vast experience as a Technical Lead of the Recommendations and Machine Learning Group at Sears where he was responsible for leveraging state of the art AI and ML techniques for creating personalized experiences.

Chaim Turkel is a Backend/Data Architect.
He holds the position of a Group Leader mentoring fellow workers, and with clients as a Tech Lead to achieve their Technical & Business requirements. With 20 years of experience in the field from very diverse clients, Chaim brings his experience with a passion to solve new challenges in the field of distributed applications and data.
