Hey everyone! We hope you've been enjoying our early Spring weather even though we know winter is not done with us just yet.
Our February meetup will be hosted by Galvanize in their Boulder Office at 1023 Walnut Street.
We'll have two exciting topics for this months session:
In our first session, Jeff Dean from Galvanize will present an Introduction to Cloud Native Application Development using Spring and Cloud Foundry.
Then, Wayne Seguin from Stark & Wayne will talk about how to work with Docker Within Cloud Foundry including when and how to use private Docker registries. Wayne will also tackle some common questions that Cloud Foundry developers and operators encounter when beginning to use Docker with CF.
Bios:
• Jeff Dean is the Director of Web Development Education at Galvanize, where he writes curriculum and teaches a wide variety of technologies. Most recently he's developed a course on how to build Cloud Native applications with Spring and Cloud Foundry. Jeff is particularly interested in finding the right balance of how to teach monoliths-to-microservices to large groups of developers. Prior to working at Galvanize, Jeff worked with Pivotal Labs for several years.
• Wayne E. Seguin has over two decades of professional software engineering, architecture, and business experience spanning multiple industries. He has founded companies, shipped code that thousands of developers have used on a daily basis, developed products and spearheaded large operations efforts for mission critical platforms. Wayne is well known for building tools that make lives easier for other engineers. Recently, Wayne has focused this experience into the PaaS space, bringing his characteristic “I can help!” attitude along, as well as random acts of humor.
