This time we have another one great speaker!
Michiel Trimpe – technical founder at Interactly will be giving talk "Conversational Computing: Meaning in and of an Immutable World".
Info about talk: "In 1998 McCarthy left us a vision of the future of computing in the form of a puzzle about programming languages inspired by natural languages. Little did he know then that two years prior to that Okasaki had published the missing piece of his puzzle.
In this talk we’ll further explore this correspondence between the speech act theory that inspired McCarthy and the full system immutability which makes it possible. We'll evaluate what new functionality such languages will unlock and finally dive into the most promising part of this rabbit hole: how its conversational semantics change the concept of data ownership and give rise to an NSA-proof computing paradigm."
