Hear entrepreneur and inventor Chai Toh describe a collaboration with Spanish engineers to build an end-to-end system that included a mobile app for drivers and software service platform for service providers that attracted 16,000+ users globally. The system supported hybrid and gasoline cars on both city roads and highways. The project aims were to enhance passengers safety, optimize fuel consumption, empower drivers and passengers and connect them to service providers seamlessly.

About the speaker:

Dr. Toh is currently an entrepreneur and startup angel. He is also an honorary chair professor of computer science at Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Earlier on, he was Group CTO and Assistant Chief Executive at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, VP/CTO of Singapore Power Telecoms Ltd., and Director of Research at TRW (now Northrop Grumman). He won the Ambrose Fleming Medal for pioneering wireless mesh (ad hoc) networks in the 1990s. He is an IEEE Fellow. More info:
