Bumblebees - Ecology and Identification 2021

Jun 24, 2021 · Martin, United Kingdom

A 1 day course giving participants an introduction to the recognition, identification and ecology of bumblebees

We are all familiar with the sight of bumblebees in our gardens or the countryside. But how many people are aware that there are twenty-two species resident in Britain and Ireland? This course will serve as an introduction to bumblebees, their recognition, identification and ecology. It will be very hands-on, using a selection of mounted specimens initially, before participants use their new-found identification skills on live insects in the grassland of Martin Down NNR.
