We are all familiar with the sight of bumblebees in our gardens or the countryside. But how many people are aware that there are twenty-two species resident in Britain and Ireland? This course will serve as an introduction to bumblebees, their recognition, identification and ecology. It will be very hands-on, using a selection of mounted specimens initially, before participants use their new-found identification skills on live insects in the grassland of Martin Down NNR.
