Building High-Performance Software with Microsoft Application Insights

Feb 12, 2015 · Toronto, Canada

We are thrilled to be hosting our first cross-over event with the Toronto ALM User Group. We expect it to be a popular event, so sign up early and make sure to arrive on time. Also take note of the earlier start time. Pizza and networking will take place between 5:30 and 6 with the presentation starting at 6pm. And due to space limitations, we only have room for 50 attendees.
Microsoft Application Insights for Visual Studio 2013 is a suite of tools designed to help teams derive key metrics (performance, usage, availability, etc.) from their modern applications.
In this talk we will see how to add Application Insights to new or existing Visual Studio projects. We will then take it up a notch to see how we can use it in conjunction with Microsoft Azure to monitor and test these applications. Finally, we will learn how to access and read the metrics gathered so you and your team get pinpoint data to fix any current problems.

Our Speaker Ken Cenerelli is a .NET developer specializing in creating effective solutions for the web. He is a member of the Windows Azure Canadian Community Experts team and was the Technical Reviewer of Pro Windows Phone App Development, 3rd Edition from Apress Publishing.
