💊 Bálint Daróczy (MTA Sztaki) - Generating medical images with adversarial networks
In recent years generating artificial cats, dogs, faces or drawing believable changes to a face became a reality. Besides theoretical progression (e.g. Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), Wasserstein metric or Residual and Inception networks) the models are used in various topics where data generation could help to solve the generalization gap between the size of available sample sets and well performing models. In medical imaging problems the typical cardinality of a dataset is even smaller and in comparison to regular problems validation is even more difficult due lack of expert knowledge by machine learning practitioners.
💊 Martin Tóth (Richter) - The road to AI at Richter
One of Hungary’s leading pharmaceutical company, Gedeon Richter Plc. was among the first in the pharma sector in Hungary to open towards digitalization, data science and machine learning. A pharmaceutical company – being part of one of the most heavily regulated industries – faces many challenges when it is trying to integrate changes that could affect the core of its organizational culture.
How can we overcome these challenges?
How do we implement a digitalization project in order to be successful?
What are the potential uses of AI in pharmaceuticals?
In my presentation, I will demonstrate the road, the processes and milestones leading to the application of AI at our company.
In a nutshell, I’ll present the past, the present and the future of data science at Gedeon Richter.
