Browser Security for Web Developers

May 15, 2018 · Linthicum Heights, United States of America

Ten easy tips and tricks to make your web applications safer.

Modern browsers offer a host of features for securing your web application. In this talk we take a look at ten browser features that help you write secure web applications. We talk about writing sites that reduce the risk of impersonation and surveillance, and look at ways to help ensure that third party libraries used on your site are more secure.

Our presenter, Steve Albers, is a software developer and technology fan focused on web technology, system integration and performance. By day he is a Senior Innovator at Cleverspeck.

We will meet at TEKsystems in Linthicum. There is plenty of free parking in front of the building. Doors will open at 6:30 PM for pizza and conversation, and the presentation will start at 7:00 PM. If you get there after 7:00 and find yourself locked out, you will find our phone number posted on the front door. Call the number and someone will come to let you in. Don't be embarrassed - happens all the time.

Many thanks to our sponsors, TEKsystems ( for hosting this meeting and providing pizza, and Grady Kearney, Agent for New York Life (, for providing refreshments!
