Digital solutions offer great promise to positively impact our health and wellness outcomes … But do they actually deliver? Whether someone wants to drink more water or to manage their chronic conditions, the digital health market is growing rapidly, and people have plenty of app options to choose from.
In this talk, we review a novel heuristic evaluation. Rather than focusing on usability, the evaluation asks “Does this app have what it takes to lead to meaningful behaviour change?” We’ll cover:
- key stages along the product journey; what works when
- how to assess whether an app can successfully change people’s behaviour
