Advanced Analytics: Methods and Challenges Beyond Statistical Data Science
This talk will introduce the idea of the analytic scientist, describe a taxonomy and several classes of analytics, and review issues and challenges in using advanced analytics as a way to stimulate future research. The analytics classes to be described are non-statistical and, often, require symbolic representation. Numerous issues and challenges arise in developing and deploying advanced analytics, many of which have not been adequately addressed in the technical literature.
