BelfastJS - October Meetup @ CME

Oct 25, 2017 · Belfast, United Kingdom

Happy October everyone! Everyone's favourite meetup [citation needed] is upon us once more. This time we'll be hosted by the lovely CME at their Millennium House office - major props to them for the hospitality!

In this month's exciting instalment:

- Reuben Bradley will be diving into the world of machine learning in JavaScript from a web developer's perspective.

- Krishna Acondy will be providing a jumpstart into the world of web app development using the Angular CLI.

Chris Kitson (CME) - Lightning talk - Reusable DOM with progressive scrolling in React

- [CANCELLED] Barry Hassan - Experimenting with MobX (and React Native)

The meetup kicks off at 6:30pm, with refreshments up-front and plenty of time for chatting, networking and general mingling. CME will also have a React-VR kiosk set up for people to have a play with.

Hope to see you all there!

** UPDATE: instructions from CME on how to access the event **

  *  Several CME staff will be present in the foyer area. Attendees will congregate there, initially, and be escorted to the lifts and up to the CME office as needed
  *  Attendees will 'sign-in' – just their name – to form an attendee-list, so we know who is on the premises (in the event of a fire/evacuation)
  *  They are then free to access the canteen area – where Boojum catering will be provided – and the Training Room, where the talks will be held
  *  On leaving the office, attendees will sign-out and be escorted back down to the foyer.
