Summary of event

Ian will be talking about the future of Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) and the need for better detection and response capabilities to spot the unknown and zero day attacks. This presentation will align with the recent Gartner report on Managed Detection and Response Services. He will also present several use cases where MSSPs offer very little and show how to complement their service offerings.

Speaker Biography

Ian Murphy’s career in Cyber Security spans 25 years and covers roles in both the private and public sectors. His experience includes pre and post sales activities, security architecture and design as well as business development across EMEA and APAC.

Ian started life in MOD working as an HPTO before joining Symantec where he left as Senior Product Manager. From then on he has run his own company and provided consulting services for number of different organisations such as HP, Symantec, CSC and DXC.
