Automation infrastructure from the start; implementation, mistakes, solutions

Apr 12, 2016 · Murray, United States of America

Our guest speaker will be Mike Weiss, one of the two QA Automation Architecture Leads at USANA Health Sciences in Salt Lake City.  Mike graduated (Cum Laude) four years ago with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Weber State University.  He participated in a university class that developed a hotel reservation system from the ground up, and then spent two weeks in Ghana deploying and testing it at the owner’s restaurant.  His four years since graduation have been spent in QA Automation and in his two years at USANA, he has helped bring them from zero automation testing to automation that is critical to helping catch bugs before every release to production.  He has built his own Hackintosh.  Michael loves spending time with his wife and their eleven-year-old Shih Tzu, playing video games of all genres, listening to podcasts, running, playing with new electronic gadgets, setting up audio systems, occasionally DJ-ing for weddings, and hiking.
