Sheetal Dolas from Hortonworks will be giving a talk focused on addressing the challenge of data growth. The abstract follows - as Sheetal's bio indicates, he's an experienced data architect who will offer significant insights into wrangling large data sets!
Pizza & sodas will be provided, sponsored by Arista Networks and Hadapt.

Due to exponential data growth in every corner, almost all organizations are facing a challenge to have highly scalable yet cost effective data warehouses. Organizations can scale to new levels by augmenting the Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) with Hadoop and can save millions of dollars on the infrastructure.
There are three key challenges in making Hadoop as mainstream EDW platform:
1. Managing historical data updates
Integrating with existing infrastructure (Oracle, Teradata, Informatica, BI tools)
In this presentation we talk about a reference EDW architecture that helps saving millions of dollars, processes terabytes of incoming data everyday, scales to multi petabyte EDW and also the challenges people face while using Hadoop for EDW and the solutions/best practices around them.
