Automation Framework for Beginners
by Vyom Gulia

With Agile and CI/CD being the latest trends in testing, automation testing is getting attention like never before, as it helps in reducing efforts per test execution cycle and faster delivery of MVP to the market. In order to achieve the best results, it is important to have the right approach towards automation. Setting up an automation framework enables the testing team to adhere to pre-defined guidelines and helps in maintaining the uniformity in code which will in turn lead to low maintenance framework, providing ROI sooner. This presentation will include an introduction, basic principles and approach for implementing automation frameworks.

Vyom has 10 years of experience in automation testing and is currently working with Capgemini NZ. Being passionate about automation testing, he is always eager to learn and explore new ways to improve testing processes.

Testing with Service Virtualisation Tools
by Sunil Khutan

In today’s growing digital age, the need for projects to be delivered faster to market is growing exponentially, the problem remains with delivering projects on time and within budget without compromising software quality. In a typical project lifecycle, we have to employ a number of different specialists to deliver high quality products to market. The highest cost remains with software development and testing. Service Virtualisation (SV) is a concept that can facilitate today’s software methodologies helping to accelerate application development and testing to provide high quality products-to-market faster and allow for earlier engagement in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This presentation will address some of the benefits of Service Virtualisation (SV) and how this can be used in all phases of testing and development with Agile and DevOps focussed projects, and even with more traditional Waterfall /V-model methodologies.
