Artificial Intelligence for Learning: Is it Human Enough?

Jun 28 - 29, 2017 · New York, United States of America

"Socially Aware" Artificial Intelligence tackles the world's most pressing challenges. From improving cancer diagnosis and autonomous ambulances, to advanced energy storage, AI gives humans new ways to improve lives. In education, however, we associate AI with human replacement - a technology that simply mimics humans as virtual learning assistants.

We are now at an inflection point to catalyze AI's Moonshot for Learning. Models that amplify, rather than replace, human brilliance will deliver exponential gains in democratizing lifelong education and meaningful work opportunities. How can humans and machines collaborate to achieve greater learning gains together, rather than separately?

Join NYEdTEch in a conversation with leaders across AI, Learning and Talent, and Entrepreneurship to discuss this disruptive technology, its practical applications for today, and shaping the future of learning for tomorrow.

Technology, as always, offers opportunities and challenges. The education sphere has its own special needs. Let's get together to talk, share stories, and learn from each other. What makes students tick? What works when working with(in) institutions? How can technology help? Where are the opportunities to help the students? How can we help improve education?
