Talk 2: Taking over the (Data) World with Go and Pachyderm
by Daniel Whitenack from Pachyderm.io
Abstract: Despite amazing applications of statistics and machine learning in industry, many attempts at doing "data science" are anything but reproducible. In this session, I will show how Go is changing data science for the better and is powering tools that are establishing new standards for data processing. Specifically, I will give a complete overview of Pachyderm, an open source data versioning and pipelining framework written in Go. I will also give a live demo of a reproducible Go-based data science workflow in Pachyderm that includes complete provenance explaining the entire process that produced specific results.
