- 6:30 PM: Registration and socializing
- 7:00 PM: The Art of Story Telling using Tableau by Daria Voronova
- 7:30 PM: Data Visualization for Data Analytics using Python by Zia Babar
- 8:00 PM: Data Visualization with D3.JS by Lykaio Wang
- 8:30 PM: Networking
- 9:00 PM: Event End

Talk 1: The Art of Story Telling using Tableau

Daria Voronova (https://www.linkedin.com/in/daria-voronova-76b724b5/) will take us onto a journey of stories that can be uncovered using Tableau as a discovery tool. In this talk, she's first talk describe what is story telling and why is it so important in enterprise contexts, followed by how to build a story telling dashboard in Tableau.

Talk 2: Data Visualization for Data Analytics using Python

Data Scientists and Data Engineers need to develop a deep understanding of experimental data using small datasets. For this, they frequently using Python libraries to explore and assess data before they can develop and/or optimize analytical models. In this talk, Zia Babar (https://www.linkedin.com/in/zbabar/) will give examples of the type of data visualization that can be performed using Python libraries in a Jupyter Notebook.

Talk 3: Data Visualization with D3.JS

In the final talk of the day, Lykaio Wang (https://www.linkedin.com/in/lykaiowang/) will discuss visualizing data in a web browser environment by initially discussing a few popular data visualizatoin libraries, and then dive further into the pros and cons of D3. Lykaio will show you why D3 is so powerful and how you can leverage it to visualize tabular, graph, geospatial or any other type of data.

Please be aware that this meetup event would have pictures taken and video recordings being made.

“Data ... [is] the new oil. It’s going to change most industries across the board.” -- Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel. Enterprises are increasingly relying on data to provide a slew of products and services, while utilizing data to obtain competitive advantages. However, data considerations are multidimensional and systems design need to be more data-centric. The purpose of this meetup group is to understand different perspectives of data. These would include (but not limited to), • data security • data mod
