About the speakers:
Răzvan Țapu is the Head of Digital in Stefanini EMEA. Răzvan created and manages the Digital Transformation Center, the spearhead for making Stefanini EMEA a one-stop-shop for defining and delivering both end-users and business value through innovation across technology, digital strategies and delivery models. The capabilities of the Digital Transformation Center are, among others, Machine Learning, Augmented/Virtual Reality, RPA, Design Thinking etc. Răzvan has a bachelor degree in Telecommunications Networks and Software at the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, a master degree in Telecommunication Network at the same university and another master degree in Business Management through project at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
Bogdan Mocanu received the B.S. degree in electronics, telecommunications, and information technology (9.97/10) and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and telecommunication from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania, in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and the second Ph.D. degree with honors in informatics from University Paris VI–Pierre et Marie Currie, Paris, France, in 2012. Since 2012, he has been an associated Researcher within the ARTEMIS Department, Institut Mines-Télécom/Télécom SudParis, France. In 2018 he became an Associate Professor within the Telecommunications Department of ETTI / University Politehnica of Bucharest. He has been involved in 12 international research projects and 2 industrial projects. His major research interest involves computer vision applications technologies for: content-based video indexing and retrieval, pattern recognition and machine learning techniques.
