Amazon Alexa Skills Development, Presented by Amazon

In this workshop intended for anyone interested in voice control, home automation, and personal assistant technology.  
Liz Myers, Alexa evangelist at Amazon in Seattle, will alk attendees through the development of a new Alexa skill and incorporate it into a consumer-facing device. 

Alexa is the speech and personal assistant technology behind Amazon Echo. Alexa offers a full-featured set of APIs and SDKs that you can use to teach her new skills and add her into devices and applications of your own. 
Food and refreshments with be provided. Free devices, and promotions from Amazon will be available for attendees.

Pre-requisites
Be sure to bring your laptop!  
1.Get a developer account:

2. Get an aws account:
aws.amazon.com (free - but CC required for signup)
3. Download sample templates to your desktop
