All Hands on DevOps #13

Mar 8, 2018 · London, United Kingdom

Agenda

18:30 - Doors open, refreshments and networking 19:05 - Richard Vodden Principal Consultant @ PA Consulting

Richard helps lead PA Consulting's DevOps capability and in that capacity has worked with a wide range of enterprises, from large financial institutions to government departments, helping them realise their DevOps visions. In this conversation Richard is going to go right back to the start and look at the first of the three ways: flow, or systems thinking. We'll remind ourselves of how important it is, and how easy it is to forget; and look at some really pragmatic ways of making flow real regardless of the size of your organisation

19:40 - Pizza, refreshments etc. 20:00 Jim Bennett Cloud Developer Advocate @ Microsoft

DevOps— culture, automation, measurement, and sharing - applies to all software development, but mobile app development amplifies its importance. We all know user expectations are high, and one bad experience can quickly turn an active user into an uninstall. Jim will cover setting up automated builds from your GitHub account, distribute to beta testers, track user analytics, usage patterns and detect crashes as soon as they happen.

I'm ready to publish my first app but I don't want to screw it up! Using App Center to get started with Mobile DevOps.

20:45 - Networking, refreshments etc. 21:15 - On to a local watering hole that is to be confirmed.
