Lightning talk

Data Science With Docker
Abstract: This talk aims to demystify Docker; it will provide an overview of what all the fuss is about, give some use cases and how to leverage it in your work, particularly for deep learning projects.

Speaker: Laura Mitchell

Bio: Laura graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh and since then has gained over 10 years experience in the tech and data science space. During this time she has hands on experience in the delivery of projects such as NLP, image classification, recommender systems etc. from initial conception through to production. She has a passion for learning new technologies and keeping up to date with industry trends.

Talk #2

Practical Reinforcement Learning with OpenAI

Reinforcement Learning recently progressed greatly in industry as one of the best techniques for sequential decision making and control policies.
DeepMind used RL to greatly reduce energy consumption in Google's data centre. It has being used to do text summarisation, autonomous driving, dialog systems, media advertisement and in finance by JPMorgan Chase. We are at the very beginning of the adoption of these algorithms as systems are required to operate more and more autonomously.
In this talk we will present some of OpenAI research, including OpenAi’s Gym and some algorithms like Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO),

Bio: Leonardo De Marchi holds a Master in Artificial intelligence and has worked as a Data Scientist in the sport world, with clients such as New York Knicks and Manchester United, and with large social networks, like Justgiving. He now works as Lead Data Scientist in Badoo, the largest dating site with over 360 million users.

Talk #3

Ultra portable Deep Learning with Tensorflow.js

Zack will present the way how ultra-portable version of Tensorflow can be used in a web-browser.

Github: https://github.com/ZackAkil

Bio: Zack is a Developer Advocate for Cloud Machine Learning at Google. When he’s not teaching about machine learning at Google he likes to do more teaching about machine learning at his hands-on data science meetup, “Central London Data Science Project Nights”. He likes to focus on practical applications of machine learning, ranging from scalable cloud solutions to super compact learning systems running entirely on Arduinos (a device with 1/100th the power of a smartphone).

The meetup will be hosted by:

Connected World; AI Tech World is the 2-day Festival of Connected Technology, uniting over 2,500 industry leaders, tech innovators, decision makers and investors all under one roof. What’s more,
