AI is now a commodity: Let’s behave accordingly

Mar 27, 2019 · Glen Allen, United States of America

AI is ubiquitous. Numerous vendors compete in the common use cases and many of the specialized use cases. Given AI is a commodity, how do we add value? There will be an introduction and an extensive demo of commodity AI.

About our speaker:
Chris Hamson is a Cloud Solution Architect focused on Data and Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft. He is now architecting enterprise-scale environments for commercial customers and actively training AI models for the Agriculture sector. Prior to Microsoft, he was Chief Credit Officer at a fintech start-up and worked at Capital One as a Statistician for 13 years. He has two master’s degrees, one from Boston University in Actuarial Science and one from Virginia Commonwealth University in IS management. As a hobby he is developing a system to recognize, target, and aggressively deter the squirrels that are eating the tomatoes in his garden.
