******* What to expect *******
The idea is to have an informal discussion around data visualization best practices, starting with a series of critiques and possible remakes of graphs and then focusing on a more specific topic: Uncertainty in Data Visualization.
When we see a data point drawn as solid point, it’s easy to consider it “the truth”. Sometimes that might be appropriate, but since nearly every data set we work with has some uncertainty, we must know how to represent it in case we want to tell the entire story. That should happen more often than not. Let's keep the discussion flowing 📈 🚀.
Here are some additional perspectives and resources related to this topic:
In the end, we will have an open discussion where we will be addressing questions on different topics. The aim is to learn with each other and ultimately create better visualizations.
Free to attend! Open to anyone interested in data visualization.
