4 x 20 Minute Lighting Talks

Hi SWUXers,

Nationwide Building Society in Casltemead by Cabot Circus will be our venue for Tuesday 8th October.

We have 4 amazing lighting talks lined up for the next SWUX and each one will be 20 mins long, talks will start at 7pm. Here's the order of appearance:

Talk 1
Natalie Lewendon - Content Design
Title: Content design myths - busted
Blurb: What is content design? Who can be a content designer? And why are they so obsessed with reading ages? Natalie is here to answer FAQs and blow up a few myths around what it is we do.

Talk 2
Walt Buchan - UX Researcher
Title: Intro the Spider-Verse of personas
Blurb: Demographic segmentation and personas really grind my gears. I'm always looking for new ways to demonstrate what a waste of time they are. Let me show you how Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse opened my eyes to multi-verse personas

Talk 3
Andrew Grimes - UX Designer
Title: Service Blueprinting 101
Blurb: Andrew will give us an introduction to Service Blueprinting. Starting with some lessons learnt from a recent project, he'll host an interactive session designed to explore the value of this key Service Design tool.

Talk 4
Dr John Pagonis - UX Researcher
Title: Velocity in Scrum .....how is a UXer to cope with it.
Blurb: John will very briefly touch on the subject of velocity vs UX research in a very very interactive manner
