4 ways to massively improve your UX game... without UX

Feb 3, 2016 · Amsterdam, Netherlands

Often we are being asked to achieve our outcomes of increased user participation in new and innovative ways.  In order to achieve this we can continue to evolve our core skillset, or we can also look outside UX to leverage existing and new resources.
The speakers will focus on how to gain major improvements in user participation... without UX.
Topics include:
• How to use your backend to discover new target audiences in the existing market.
• How to optimise your service architecture with a bottom-up approach.
• How to rethink your design ecosystem and find hidden opportunities.
• How to avoid the worst UX disaster - a public security breach.
The principles will be mapped to real-life business cases the speakers are involved in.

is an interaction designer with strong experience in IT planning and management. Currently working as Technology Director for the ad agency J. Walter Thompson, Amsterdam office. In parallel he is conducting research for Tongji University Shanghai on the governance, product strategy and internationalisation of emerging high-tech enterprises in the Chinese innovation space.
Dominic Fulginiti’s role is to “keep money in bank accounts and secrets in companies” - and if these happen or fail to happen, then there is plenty of work.  These outcomes are accomplished by enabling customers’ computer security and reducing their chances of being successfully breached...or helping them detect and respond to being breached.  Dominic has a strong interest and focus in Application Security, of which UX is becoming even more involved in with technologies such as Server-Side JavaScript / Node.js. Currently working as Lead Security Architect: Financial Vertical for Verizon
