Who: Black Entrepreneurs Leaders & Learners (BELL) is a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide opportunities on educating, growing, funding, and supporting black entrepreneurs. We provide financial literacy educational programs to help business owners grow their business and build long term wealth.
What: BELL will be hosting their 3rd Annual Government Contracting & Certification Summit to support startup entrepreneurs to established small business owners in navigating the government contracting process, successful contractors, and government agency representatives will share insight and information on how to start winning bids. Whether you work in construction, marketing, software, products, or services, this event is for you.
When: Friday July 14 and Saturday July 15, 2023
Where: San Diego, CA
Why: Government contracting can be a valuable strategy for business owners of color to grow their businesses and access new opportunities. Government contracting can increase the visibility of black-owned businesses, especially those that are certified as minority-owned or disadvantaged. This can help them gain exposure to potential customers and partners. Government contracts often require businesses to hire additional staff to complete the work. This can create new job opportunities for members of the black community and help reduce unemployment. Many government contracts are designed to promote social impact and support underrepresented groups. Black business owners can use these contracts to make a positive impact in their communities and contribute to social and economic development.
