2018: The Year of Mobile Machine Learning

Jan 23, 2018 · San Francisco, United States of America

Main Talk Title: 2018: The Year of Mobile Machine Learning. Harnessing the ai accelerator hidden in your phone

Speaker: Cliff Szu (https://hadron.cloud/)

Abstract: Four major forces are poised to converge in 2018: phones with built-in ML acceleration, mobile-friendly ML libraries, global smartphone adoption, and 5G networks. We'll discuss how these forces will impact the future of machine learning Bio: Cliff Szu is CEO of Hadron Ai. The Hadron mobile app lets companies crowdsource ai training videos and photos, which we validate using our own custom ML models. We then help companies train and deploy with this novel data. His father was co-founder of the International Neural Network Society back in 1987, and he grew up immersed in traveling salesman discussions, high-temperature superconductor neural network hardware, and early neural network models. His degree is in computer science from Stanford and was advised by ai innovator Terry Winograd.
