Product Briefs: How Tracking a Product's Journey will Help you Build the Right Products at any Scale
The rise of the one-pager, or the product brief is not coincidental or just a fad. Product briefs are a critical product tool that will help your teams keep track of the design decisions, the emotions, features, motivations and key metrics that will continue to drive your customer's happiness. They will anchor the “why” for every new feature that is added and will guide your product discovery, engineering build and the continued maintenance of your products. In this workshop, you will be shown how to create an effective product brief and how to avoid the common mistakes people make when trying to use them.
Michael Storrs is a father of four, an avid cyclist, an aspiring author, and he has a serious passion for product and product operations. He joined Weave five years ago with the challenge of starting the product org for the new but up-and-coming startup. Weave is now one of Utah's fastest-growing companies and has 500+ employees. Prior to Weave, Mike lead product and development for Vivint's Wireless internet division. He has worked in many roles and many industries over his 15-year career in both software and hardware products, but his passion currently lies in building amazing product teams.
