Our first talk will be delivered by Chris Sterling who's a Senior QA Engineer at City Electrical Factors.
He will present a talk on Accessibility Testing.
This talk will cover cause and effect of compliance and non compliance.
There will also be an overview of tools and techniques with simplified examples.
This will be all updated with changes to legislation and pop culture trends.
Our second talk will be on Security Testing.
Security Testing can sometimes be seen as a area that is difficult to do without specialised knowledge, in this talk I'm hoping to show that everyone can think about and contribute to the security of a deliverable even if they aren't familiar with the penetration testing tools that are out there.
I'll talk about the types of threats you may encounter before looking at the microsoft threat modelling tool, I'll even go live and produce a simple threat model as you watch showing you the impact of data moving across boundaries..
We'll then discuss the types of security testing you can do without having experience of any of the more advanced tools, I'll show how I've managed to contribute to product security and then we will look at one of the threats discussed using the common vulnerability scoring system.
